In order to promote medicinal plants sector, the Government of India has set up National Medicinal Plants Board NMPB on 24th November 2000. Currently the board is located in Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The primary mandate of NMPB is to develop an appropriate mechanism for coordination between various ministries/ departments/ organizations in India and implements support policies or programs for overall conservation, cultivation, trade and export) growth of medicinal plants sector both at the Central /State and International level.

Considering the growing impact of Corona (Covid-19) in the state, more officers and staff providing health services to deal with the outbreak-like situation have been appointed at the district hospital, Amravati and taluka level.  Interested candidates for the following posts will be appointed on contract basis till 31st March 2022 or Covid-19 situation comes under control whichever is shorter.

Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. The posts are purely contractual and coterminous with the project. The continuance in the post by the candidates depends on the performance.

It has been brought to our notice that some unauthorized and unscrupulous persons are attempting to falsely use the name / logo of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) in respect of their businesses and falsely representing PMBI / PMBJP, for implementing PMBJP with a malafide and dishonest intention to mislead and defraud innocent and unwary members of the public.

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP).
