    Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab (GoP) with the financial support of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (GoI) setup Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in 2005. PBTI is a component of Agri Food Biotechnology Cluster, Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali). PBTI, a registered Society under Societies Registration Act is professionally governed by Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab. PBTI started providing hi-end world class NABL accredited analytical services to Agri, Food, Environment and Allied Sectors from transit premises in Mohali. In addition, contract research services, technology validation services and Project Management Consultancy (PMC)/Project Management Advisory (PMA) services are also being provided. Farmers, entrepreneurs, startups, industries, exporters and regulators etc.

    Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed.

    Ayushman Bharat - Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-SSBY), a flagship state health insurance scheme for the beneficiaires of State of Punjab. AB-SSBY will provide financial protection to 75% population of state of Punjab. It is entitlement based cashless health insurance cover of Rs. 5 Lakh per family per year. Under this scheme, cashless and paperless treatment is available at government and empanelled private hospitals.

    G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana) was established in 1984 under the aegis of governing Council, G.H.G. Khalsa College. Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana), a registered body already running two premier reputed Higher Education Institutions (HIE) in rural Punjab. The college is housed in a magnificent three storeyed building with 42,000 sq. ft. roofed area designed by Sh. H.S. Chopra, Formerly Additional Chief Architect Punjab. The foundation of this building was laid by H' E. Sh V.V Giri, President of India in 1971. This building was primarily meant to accommodate Post Graduate Regional Rural Center.

    National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is an autonomous Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, NABI is involved in research activities for the Bio fortification, development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition, and development of evidence based functional foods to counter malnutrition. Food and nutritional Biotechnology division at NABI requires following research personnel purely on temporary basis.

    Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab. The new campus of INST would be set up on 35 acers of land in the Knowledge City at Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab), next to IISER Mohali campus, which is very near to new Chandigarh International Airport.

    Retired Armed Forces personnel till 2002 could avail medical facilities only for specific high cost surgery/treatment for a limited number of diseases covered under the Army Group Insurance(Medical Branch Scheme) (AGI(MBS)) and Armed Forces Group Insurance Scheme(Management Information System) (AFGIS (MIS)) schemes. These medicare schemes could provide some relief to the ESM, but it was not a comprehensive scheme as compared to and available for other Central Government Employees. Therefore, the requirement was felt of establishing a medicare system which could provide quality medicare to the retirees of the Armed Forces.

  • Career for Ph.D, M.Pharm, M.Sc as Research Associate at PGIMER

    The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.
