QPMPA( association of kerala private medical practitineres) plans to set out a national level agitation against the promotion of the Pharm D. course by arguing that the advancement of the course will reduce the medical importance of Doctors Dr. Sushma anil (a member of QPMPA) says that- -the pharmacist wheather b.pharm/m.pharm/Pharm D. are only mere compounders. -a compounder wheather a b.pharm/m.pharm/Pharm D.

can not become a doctor, then why should he put the term Doctor as prefix to his name. -compounders wants to become above the doctors, and PCI has started the course Pharm D. on ego basis. -if Pharm D.is recognised and established by the government and appointed those graduates in hospitals as intermediaries between doctors and patients, the doctors community will lose entire control of the medications and total control of the drugs will be vested up on these compounders. -pharmacist are vested with the role of coducting patients medication history review, medication order review, patient councelling, adverse drug reaction monitoring, therapeutic drug monitoring, ward rounds and providing drug information centre....,

these are nothing to do with the pharmacist, but are duties of doctors... Whats your first reaction on this....???????????-

mine is -Dr. Sushma anil needs a psychiatrist..... she is suffering from 'Pharmaphobia'.....
