The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.
As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.

The CSIR and UGC provide CSIR/UGC Research Fellowship to bright young men and women for training in methods of research under expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in University Departments/ National Laboratories and Institutions in various fields of Science & Technology. The CSIR/UGC fellowships are tenable in Universities/IITs/Post Graduate Colleges/Govt.

The Utkal University, established in the year 1943, is the seventeenth oldest University in India. Applications are invited in the prescribed format as enclosed on A-4 size bond paper (80 GSM) using one side only from eligible Indian Nationals for the following posts. Applications complete in all respects along with required enclosures should be sent by ordinary post to the Assistant Secretary / Member Secretary of the concerned Railway Recruitment Board, as mentioned in Para-15 of General Instructions, so as to reach on or before 12.11.2012 up to 17.30 hrs. The applications can also be dropped in the box kept at the premises of concerned RRB offices, till 17.30 of the closing date.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous statutory Authority set up under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.

Abstract:
Two methods are described for the simultaneous determination of Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone in binary mixture. The first method was based on UV-spectrophotometric determination of two drugs, using simultaneous equation method. It involves absorbance measurement at 282.5 nm (λmax of Chlorzoxazone) and 248.0 nm (λmax of Paracetamol) in methanol; linearity was obtained in the range of 5 – 25 μg.mL-1 for both the drugs. The second method was based on HPLC separation of the two drugs in reverse phase mode using Promosil C18 column. Linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 100-500 μg.mL-1 for Paracetamol and 50-250 for  the Chlorzoxazone. Both these methods have been successively applied to pharmaceutical formulation and were validated according to ICH guidelines.

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Council is an apex body in India for formulation, development and promotion of research in Ayurvedic system of medicine. The Council carries out its activities and functions through its network of 31 Institutions located all over India. The Headquarters of the Council is situated in Delhi at the above address.
