Pharmacology

Banaras Hindu University ranks among the first few in the country in the field of academic and research output. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. CDSCO has six zonal offices, four sub-zonal offices, 13 port offices and seven laboratories under its control.

The Institute has made significant accomplishments in the pursuit of its mission to New Drugs & Technologies for affordable healthcare for all, generation of knowledge base and nurturing future leaders for healthcare sector.

The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is a premier scientific institute and one of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)-accredited Laboratories dedicated to human sports dope testing & allied research. This is the only Laboratory of its kind in the country having state-of-the-art facilities. It is equipped with the latest and sophisticated analytical equipment including LC-Orbitrap-HRMS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GC/C/IRMS, etc.

Sardar Patel College of Pharmacy, Gorakhpur was established in 2019 and approved by Pharmacy Council of India, Dr. A.P.J.A.K.T.U., Lucknow, A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi, and B.T.E.- Uttar Pradesh. College is dedicated to develop and nurture pharmaceutical education and research.
