NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Principal Project Associate and one Technical Assistant in the DBT Multi-institutional project entitled “Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate genomics-assisted crop improvement”, under mission programme of “Characterization of genetic resources”, under the supervision of Dr. Swarup K. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of Project Research Scientist-I to work on an ICMR-sponsored project entitled Investigations on the role of innate immune response in neuroprotective effects of synthetic and natural heterosteroids on Alzheimers disease pathogenesis and cognition. The Institute has created the necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation and training in biomedical genomics.
