CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, a premier Institute under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is involved in multidisciplinary R&D programs of both basic and applied nature. Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is a public limited company, initiated by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and set up by All India Financial Institutions. Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at BCIL has been set up by DBT-BIRAC with the mandate to provide services to all the DBT autonomous institutes.

The Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) established under an agreement between the Governments of India and the United States of America in March 2000, is an autonomous bilateral organization jointly funded by both the Governments that promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Innovation through substantive interaction among government, academia and industry. The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and the U.S. Department of State are the respective nodal departments.
