    Galderma and Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd announced they have signed a definitive agreement for Taro to acquire Alchemee, formerly The Proactiv Company (TPC), from Galderma. The agreement between Galderma and Taro includes Alchemee’s business and assets around the world, including the Proactiv® brand.

  • Binnopharm to acquire two anti bacterial brands from Dr. Reddys in the Russia

    The Sistema Group company Binnopharm Group, one of the leading pharmaceutical production companies in Russia via its affiliate Joint Stock Company Alium, and Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd an integrated global pharmaceutical company, today announced the signing of a deal that will allow Binnopharm Group to acquire anti-bacterial medicines under the Ciprolet and Levolet brands from Dr. Reddys in Russia, Uzbekistan and Belarus. The portfolio includes various dosage forms such as tablets, solution for infusions and eye drops.

Limited, Singapore, has received approval for Amantadine Hydrochloride Softgel Capsules USP, 100 mg from the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA). The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the Reference Listed Drug (RLD), Symmetrel Capsules, 100 mg, of Endo Pharmaceuticals, Inc (Endo).

    Government eases the norms of manufacturing, stocking, sale or distribution of new drugs under phase III clinical trials, for the treatment of Covid-19 and related diseases. The provision is made to stock the drugs with a condition that it will sell the new drug only after obtaining permission as per the regulations.

    Lucknow based national laboratory CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), has licensed the technology of Nucleic Acid Staining Dye GreenR to GenetoProtein Pvt. Ltd., a start-up company registered in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2020. This startup is involved in developing an array of enzymes, kits and biochemical used in Lifesciences research, particularly molecular biology. The dye GreenR™ has been developed by CDRI Senior Principal Scientist Dr. Atul Goel in a joint collaborative project with an industry partner Biotech Desk Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad.

  • Breakthrough, US woman got cured from HIV by stem cell transplant

    A U.S. patient with leukemia has become the first woman and the third person to date to be cured of HIV after receiving a stem cell transplant from a donor who was naturally resistant to the virus that causes AIDS, researchers reported.

    The oral abstract was presented at CROI 2022, the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections.
