Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER) in association with ISPOR India – Andhra Pradesh Chapter, Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapuramu Branch and KVSR Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences

A Two Days National Symposium on “Improving Healthoutcomes through Evidence based Practices” was organized by International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) India – Andhra Pradesh Chapter in association with Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapuramu Branch, Kommareddy Venkata Sadasiva Rao (KVSR) Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) RIPER Student Chapter on 22nd & 23rd April 2016 at KVSR Siddhartha College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

The Symposium was inaugurated by the office bearers of Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education, Vijayawada, Chaired by Dr. Mohanraj Rathinavelu (Secretary and Treasurer – ISPOR India, Andhra Pradesh Chapter) Convenor of the Symposium, Dr. G. Devala Rao (Professor and Principal – KVSR SCOPS) Patron of Symposium and Dr. Siva Reddy Challa Co-convenor of the symposium and Ms. Manjuluri Krishna Kumari (Director – All India Radio) was the Chief Guest.

The symposium drew nearly 200 delegates and researchers from 14 reputed pharmacy institutions of the country. Symposium was volunteered by members of Executive council committee of ISPOR India AP Regional Chapter Mr. G. Narayana, Dr. S.M.G Ishrar, Dr. B. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Y. Samhitha Reddy, Dr. P.T. Priyanka, and Dr. B. Sahithi and Pharm. D Interns under organizing committee Mr. Jagadeesh Neppali, Mr. M.S.M. Karthik, Mr. Javeed. P and Mr. Siva Bharat Gavini of RIPER.

The scientific sessions of symposium was delivered by eminent and experts resource persons as speakers, Dr. B. Rajalingam (COP SRIPMS), Dr. D. Krishna Kumar (C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy), Smt. Asawari Raut (Pune College of Pharmacy), Dr. Britto Durai Singh (Ganga Multi Specialty Hospitals), Dr. Mohanraj Rathinavelu (RIPER), Mr. Sateesh Gottipati (Vignan College of Pharmacy) and Dr. Jaffar Sadiq. M (RIPER).

The main axiom of the symposium was to provide a platform for consistently reviewing, evaluative and exploitation clinical analysis findings to assist the delivery of optimum clinical care to patients. Evidence based practices forms a part of the many-sided method of reassuring clinical effectiveness and the practice of proof based mostly medicine suggests that integration individual clinical experience with the best obtainable external clinical proof from systematic analysis.
