Delhi high court gave temporary relief to Pfizer, Abbott and Macelods over health ministry's ban on certain fixed dose combinations (FDCs). The permit is provided till 21st march from governments ban on these companies products.

These products includes pharma majors renowned brands like corex syrup, Tixylix toddler syrup, Phensedyl cough syrup and panderm plus ointment.

Health Ministry received notice from court to provide the findings of the Expert Committee appointed by the Central Government followed by which manufacture for sale, sale and distribution of 344 FDCs have been prohibited across the country.

Companies are concerened that government has not given any prior notice regarding ban on their impotant brands and these established brands are serving people from many years with safety which is clinically proven.

Procter and Gamble is also planning to take help from the court regarding their important marketed product, vikas action 500 and other products.
