Post: Head, Sales Training (Field Force Development)

Job Description
Lead the training function, develop and deliver the overall training strategy for the Field Force. Develop the training team to provide training programs of the highest quality. Provide thought leadership around how the function can expand and improve training solutions for Customer Facing Colleagues.

Core Responsibilities & Scope of Work– Deliverables, Accountabilities, Outcome Metrics
• Partner with GCO Training Center of Excellence and Regional GCO Leadership to determine Brands and Skills training needs
• Partner with Business Unit leadership teams to translate business plans and priorities into sales training requirements, including both formal training,
• Translate, localize and customize globally developed brands and skills training materials to fit India requirements
• Lead the content development and delivery of training for locally sourced products
• Work with local BT and Global Training CoE Systems Lead to coordinate integration of India training technology platform with Global Training technology platform (i.e., Power to Learn, Pfizer Opti-Learn and Claro, the Learning Content Management System, virtual classroom technology, etc.)
• Negotiate and get agreement on the training calendar in line with business need and communicate effectively to the field force
• Conduct strategic planning and manage operational plans, training programs and budgets
• Work through Project SPEAR to transfer coaching responsibilities from FTM’s to District Sales Managers (Consider if you want this in)
• Work closely with the business to understand how training could be leveraged and optimize the utilization of training programs
• Work closely with the business to utilize the full range of training solutions by assisting in the communication and promotion of alternative channels
• Track the efficacy of learning technologies and take corrective actions where needed
• Evaluate the efficacy of training solutions, by business unit, to ensure that training is fit-for-purpose and necessary changes are made. Utilize metrics to measure the effectiveness of training
• Deliver programs in line with the planned training delivery schedule
• Advise the business on best practice communication and promotion of training programs to optimize full utilization
• Operate in an often ambiguous and ever-changing environment - can manage and operate within the "gray"
• Show  willingness to step outside of defined role to assume greater challenges and/or develop new skills

Leadership Responsibilities
• Manage the training team
• Coach and mentor Training colleagues.
• Ensure that Business Unit specific solutions are leveraged across other Business Unit’s to ensure cross-BU synergies wherever applicable.
• Challenge the status quo

Qualifications
• Post Graduate
• An advanced degree and/or professional development in adult education, human resource management, organizational development and/or learning technology is highly desirable and strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business, training design and implementation
• Minimum 5 of experience in leading the Training function for a major pharmaceutical company
• Young and energetic candidate with a Pharmaceutical background
• Well versed in latest training solutions, including training delivery tools and eLearning.
• Deep experience in delivering learning solutions
• Possesses knowledge of adult learning theories and “best in class” training strategies;
• Demonstrated knowledge of e-learning technologies, including systems, content, tools, and infrastructure
• An analytical and business perspective in approaching training
