With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.

Educational qualifications: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks and NET/LS.
Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- PM+HRA, for NET qualified and Rs. 12,000/+HRA for NET LS qualified candidates.

Post No 2: Sponsored by MNRE
JRF/Project Assistant Level –II (One Post)
Educational qualifications for JRF: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks and NET/LS. Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/-PM+HRA for NET qualified and Rs. 12,000/-PM+HRA for NET LS qualified candidates.
Educational qualifications for PA-II: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks.
Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- PM (Fixed) for PA-II

Post No. 3: Sponsored by CSIR
Project Assistant Level –II/III   (1 Post)
Educational qualifications: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks. For PA-III with two years research experience supported by publications.
Emoluments: For PA-II: Rs. 12,000/- PM (Fixed), for PA-III: Rs. 14000/- PM (Fixed)

Senior Research Fellow   (1 Post)
Educational qualifications: M.Sc. (Chemistry) with minimum 55% marks and NET/LS, with two years research experience supported by publications.
Emoluments: Rs. 18,000/- PM+HRA for NET qualified and Rs. 14,000/- PM+HRA for NET LS qualified candidates.

General Conditions:-
Energetic and highly motivated research personals are required to work under different projects concern with polymer/material science/separation science.
Age: Should not be more than: JRF/PA-II - 28 years, for SRF/PA-III – 32 years, as on interview date with relaxation as per CSIR rules for all the above posts.
Duration: One year and may be extended further for a period of one year based on the performance of the candidates.
All the above posts are purely temporary in nature. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.

The interested candidates meeting the above stated requirements may attend the walk-in-interview with applications enclosing a copy of detailed bio-data along with attested copies of all certificates, reprints etc. and the original certificates of qualification, experience, etc. in support of their claim on 15 May, 2013 (Wednesday) at 9.30 am at CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar.

No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the traveling or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interview walk-in-interview
