National AIDS Control Organisation is a division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that provides leadership to HIV/AIDS control programme in India through 35 HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Societies. In 1986, following the detection of the first AIDS case in the country, the National AIDS Committee was constituted in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Post: Programme Officer (Quality Control)
Applications are invited for the position of Programme Officer (Quality Control) in National Blood Transfusion Council for engagement on contract basis. The Educational Qualification/ Experience and the Terms of R eference is as under:
Essential Qualification & Experience:
• MBBS with 3 years experience in Clinical Laboratory/ Blood Bank with exposure to quality systems in Healthcare sector ; or
• 1 st class Master’s degree in Pharmacy or M.Sc (Medical Microbiology/ Medical Laboratory Technology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognized university with 5 years experience preferable in Blood Bank or Quality Control / Management of Bio logicals with an exposure to GMP/ GLP/ GCP practice;
• Working knowledge of English & Hindi;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Good Knowledge of computers ;
• Desirable criteria- MD ( Transfusion Medicine/Pathology/Microbiology) or Ph.D in related subject from recognized university; Quality Management experience and knowledge of computer application or/data management.
Terms of Reference
• Implementation of quality assurance standards laid down by NACO in Blood Transfusion Services;
• Set up and maintain a regular coordination mechanis m with DCGI and regional offices ;
• Tracking and facilitation of pending licenses of BC SU/Blood Banks and Blood storage centres;
• Preparation of standardized curriculum for training on rational use of blood;
• Monitor training programs for medical and paramedic al staff of blood banks;
• Conduct and monitor training on quality control in Blood Safety Division;
• Monitor set up and activities of core committee in States for conduction of regular supervisory visits to Blood Banks;
• Indent and procurement of RAPID and ELISA kits for NACO supported blood banks, including ensuring periodic revision of specifications;
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management of commoditie s for blood banks for allocated states;
• Program monitoring , review and regular analysis of CMIS/SIMS data to track achievement of physical an d financial targets and
• Any other work assigned by the Controlling Officer
Remuneration: Rs.51,750/- per month
Duration of Contract: One year
Age: Not more than 60 yrs.
