The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai is the new state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.

Clinical Pharmacology SO ‘D’

Qualifications and Experience: M.D.(Pharmacology) with at least one year experience. Candidates with DM in Clinical Pharmacology (with or without experience) or M.D. Pharmacology with more than 3 years experience will be considered for higher grade (SO E).
Scale of Pay: Pay Band: Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.6600/- (Total  emoluments Rs.73800/-p.m.)

Pharmacist ‘B’

Qualifications and Experience: H.SC. plus 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy with registration with the Central/State Pharmacy Council with duly allotted registration number. Three years experience in a reputed Hospital/Dispensary Pharmacy in a computerized environment is essential.
Scale of Pay: Pay Band: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800/- (Total emoluments Rs.26700 /-p.m.)

*Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and  3 years for OBC candidates .  Age is also relaxable by 10 yrs. for PWD for Group C and D posts (15 years for SC/ST  and 13 years for OBC) 5 years for Group A & B posts (10 years for SC/ST and 8 years for OBC). Age is also relaxed for departmental or project staff of TMC for the period of services rendered in TMC and in cases of exceptional merit and qualifications wherever applicable. The candidates belonging to reserved category should enclose an attested copy of Caste / Tribe/Non Creamy layer certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format with their applications, failing which their applications will  not be  entertained. The age will be reckoned as on 1st July, 2013.

Prescribed Fees:
a) Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque of Rs.300/- drawn in favour of TMC-ACTREC  payable at Navi   Mumbai.   
b) SC/ST/Female candidates/Persons with disabilities/Ex-Servicemen  are exempted from payment of fee

The total emoluments indicated for these posts are inclusive of usual allowances. In addition they are also entitled for other allowances such as Children Education Allowance, Update allowance, Performance Related Incentives and Leave Travel Concession and Contributory Health Scheme as admissible to DAE / Central Government employees.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Applications in the prescribed format along with a recent passport size photograph affixed on the right hand top corner with attested copies of certificates and non-refundable demand draft / banker’s cheque should be forwarded to the Senior Administrative Officer, Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research & Education in Cancer, Sector – 22, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai-410210 so as to reach on or before 8th August, 2013. Persons working in Central / State Government / Other Public Sector Undertakings should submit their applications through proper channel.

The qualifications and experience prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle any candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is more, it will not be convenient or possible for the Centre to call all candidates for interview The number may be restricted to a reasonable limit on the basis of the qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

Outstation SC/ST/Physically Handicapped category candidates applying for the posts for Sr.No. 26 to 29 called for interview will be reimbursed second class railway fare/bus fare (other than Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Janashatabdi trains) by shortest route excluding reservation/superfast surcharge etc. from their place of normal residence in India and back only on production of tickets / evidence indicating class of journey.
It is not necessary that all the advertised posts will be filled. The Centre may upgrade or downgrade the available post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate on the recommendations of the selection committee. Age limit, experience can be relaxed in the cases of exceptionally meritorious candidates as per  rules. Higher start of pay by granting advance increment may also be considered by the Selection Committee.
