Post: Junior Research Fellow

A Walk-in-Interview will be held to engage one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the time bound DBT project entitled “Epidemiological Studies on Porcine Circovirus 2 Associated Diseases in pigs of 3 Northeastern States viz: Mizoram, Meghalaya and Assam”. This is to be made purely on contract basis, coterminous with the project or earlier, at any time depending on performance or otherwise. There will be no provision for absorption/re-engagement in ICAR/IVRI after termination of the project.

Fellowship conditions: JRF emoluments shall be Rs 16,000/- + HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 18,000/-+HRA for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable, only if JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs 12,000/-+HRA for the 1st two years for JRF and Rs 14,000/-+HRA for the 3rd year for SRF.


Eligibility criteria:
Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years for men and 40 Years for women. The age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Lifescience/ Animal Science/ Biotechnology or M.V.Sc in Veterinary Pathology/ Microbiology/ Virology/ Biotechnology
Desirable Qualification: One year research work experience in molecular biology, working knowledge of computers and proficiency in English.

Candidates are required to come along with original certificates/degrees. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
