Merck Limited (formerly E. Merck Limited) was set up in India as the first Merck subsidiary in Asia in 1967.  The Company operates both its Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals businesses in the country.
Merck was also the first Merck Group Company to go public in the year 1981.  The Merck Group now holds 51% of the share capital in Merck Limited, while the remaining 49% is traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. and National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.  Merck Specialities Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Merck KGaA, was incorporated in 2005.

Job Description:
Task details:  
1) Project Management

a. Divide the project into intermediate processes & defining Job Leads
b. Defining the timescales for each process & drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of the project
c. Co-ordinating with the NPD team (functional teams such as R&D, QA, Legal, Regulatory and Clinical) through effective project management to ensure timely launches of new ideas
d. Agreement generation & coordination for P2P relationships with vendors
e. Monthly BD meeting chairing, minuting, moderation, and action point follow-up

2) AllianceManagement
a. Developing and maintaining P2P partners and devising sourcing strategies
b. Monitor existing alliances (P2P & Internal) & measure execution performance, identify underperforming alliances and apply corrective measures
c. Exploring new opportunities with key internal stakeholders via regular discussions & exploring new opportunities with existing vendors


3) Opportunity Identification & Evaluation
a) Regular feedback to PMT's with new product(s)/product combination ideas for both internal and P2P relationships
b) Periodic screening via established databases and random searches to ensure a pipeline of products to the BD team for preliminary evaluation
c) Value-added assistance in international in-licensing projects
d) Market & business intelligence initiative

4) Market Screening &  Analysis
a. Analysis of ORG/CMARC reports
b. Based on analysis give recommendations& develop summary reports for the assigned projects


5) Business Plan
a. Based on thorough analysis make market projections for 3-yrs with high, base and low with 3 pricing options, financial analysis
b. Create a detailed Business Plan for the assigned project

Desired Profile:
Preferably B.Pharm, else B.Sc with a MMS/PGDBM from a reputed management college.
Relevant experience to be prioritised
