Applications are invited from the eligible Indian Citizens who are Natives/ Residents of Union Territory of Puducherry for filling up the vacancies in the following posts by direct recruitment. The details of posts to be filled by direct recruitment, Pay Band + Grade Pay of the post, Number of vacancies, age criteria, education/ technical qualification and experience if any required, reservation under vertical / horizontal basis, details of Employment Exchange registration and renewal made and methodology of recruitment and other conditions prescribed for submission of filled in applications are as follows:

Post: Pharmacist (Allopathy)

No.of post: 15
(UR-8, OBC-1, MBC-3, SC-3, XSM-1, MSP-1)

Pay band + grade pay: Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200 + GP of Rs.2800

Educational/ Technical qualifications and experience required: a) H.Sc. or its equivalent
b) Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University/ Institute
c) Registration in any one of the Register in Pharmacy Council.

Methodology of recruitment: 50% of marks obtained in H.Sc. or its equivalent and 50% of marks obtained in Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy.

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
1. Applicants are advised to download a copy of the application specified in the official website health.puducherry.gov.in and send the duly filled in application alongwith the attested Photostat copies of the requisite testimonials in person or by “Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due” duly superscribing on the cover as “Application for Recruitment to the Post of _____” so as to reach the same on or before 25/09/2015 at 05:45 p.m. to “The Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Victor Simonel Street, Old Maternity Hospital Building, Puducherry – 605001.
2. Applicants are instructed to read carefully the information and Instructions issued in this regard before filling up of the application.
3. Candidates from other States / Union Territories are not eligible to apply for the post.
4. The applicant should necessarily submit the attested copies of the following testimonials alongwith the application :-
(a). Birth certificate / Transfer Certificate or Board / University Certificate indicating Date of Birth for age proof.
(b). S.S.L.C./Matriculation/Higher Secondary or its equivalent Mark Sheets.
(c). Necessary Degree/Diploma Certificate with all Marks Sheets (year-wise / semester-wise) including attempts made, if any.
(d). The prescribed educational qualification and technical qualification acquired through regular course should have been passed prior to the last date for receipt of duly filled in application.
(e). Applicants who have acquired the Diploma / Degree under open University Stream are not eligible for Direct Recruitment. The applicant should have studied the Degree course in 10+2+3 pattern on regular stream.
(f). i. Permanent Registration Certificate for registration of Midwifery / Pharmacy from any of the State Nursing & Midwifery Council in India / Pharmacy Council , (Note : In the event of selection to the post, offer of appointment will be given only on production of permanent Registration Certificates).
ii. Prescribed number of years Experience Certificate related to concerned post.
(g). Residence / Nativity Certificate: The candidates who are natives of the Union Territory of Puducherry and residents by continuous residence in the Union Territory of Puducherry for the last 5 years immediately preceding the date of notification are only eligible to apply for the posts. (Note : Certificate issued on or after 01/01/2015 or duly valid Permanent Integrated Certificate” (PIC) already issued by the Competent Authority)
(h). Community Certificate: The candidates should submit MBC / SC / OBC / BCM / EBC / BT Certificate for Employment Purpose obtained from the Competent Authority of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry / Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam not below the rank of Executive Magistrate / Tahsildar / Deputy Tahsildar as the case may be issued on or after 01/01/2015 or “duly valid Permanent Integrated Certificate (PIC) already issued by the Competent Authority”. Candidates applying under SC quota should furnish Community Certificate issued under “The Constitution (Puducherry) Scheduled Castes Order, 1964 “ and “The Constitution (Puducherry) Scheduled Castes Order, 2002” in respect of “Puthirai Vannan”.
(i). Certificate for employment purpose obtained from the Competent Authority of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry / Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam in the prescribed form alone will be accepted. Old and combined certificates will not be accepted.
(j). If migrant certificates are submitted in respect of MBC / SC / OBC / BCM / EBC / BT, their applications will be considered against Un-reserved category.
(k). Candidates who have to apply against the horizontal reservation provided for Ex-servicemen, Meritorious Sports person and Differently Abled Person (PH), should necessarily submit the relevant certificates issued by the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, Office of the Deputy Director (Sports and Youth Services), Education Department, Puducherry and Department of Health & Family Welfare Services / Medical Authorities, Puducherry respectively alongwith related records in the prescribed format only. Certificates received from any other authority will not be accepted. Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married should submit a certificate from the Revenue Department to the effect that they should not get marriage at the time of joining the post if they are selected.
(l). Employment Exchange Identity Card duly registered and renewed as on date, bearing NCO code Nos. for each qualifications acquired by the candidate.
(m). Original Educational / Technical Mark Sheets / Certificates etc should not be attached with the application.

AGE LIMIT
Between 18-32 years as on 25/09/2015 which is the last date for receipt of duly filled in application. Age limit is relaxable for applicants belonging to the categories of OBC, MBC, EBC, BCM, BT, SC, Ex-SM, MSP, DPA (PH), Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married and In-service officials as detailed below :- Further additional age benefit by 5 years plus the normal age concession will be awarded to the special categories of overaged candidate if sponsored by the Employment Exchange, Govt. of Puducherry vide G.O.Ms.No.22/92-Lab dated 28.08.1992 will be allowed.

After deducting the military service plus 3 years from the actual age (in respect of reserved applicant, over and above the admissible relaxation of 5 years for Scheduled Caste and 3 years for MBC / OBC / BCM / EBC / BT).

Meritorious Sports Person

5 years lin respect of reserved applicants, over and above the admissible relaxation of 5 years for SC and 3 years for MBC / OBC / EBC / BCM / BT).

Differently Abled Person (DAP) / Physically Handicapped (PH)

10 years (in respect of reserved applicants, over and above the admissible relaxation of 5 years for SC and 3 years for MBC / OBC / EBC / BCM / BT).

Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married

5 years lin respect of reserved applicants, over and above the admissible relaxation of 5 years for SC and 3 years for MBC / OBC / EBC / BCM / BT)

In-service Officials

Relaxable for Government servants Upto to 40 years of age (43 for MBC / OBC / EBC / BCM / BT officials and 45 for SC officials) in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government provided such Government servants are working for not less than 3 years in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship can be

established that the services rendered bv them in the Department will be useful for efficient discharge of duties in the post for which selection is made.

The applications which are not in complete shape, or without signatures both in application and checklist and without enclosing the requisite certificates / mark sheets etc. as indicated above, will be summarily rejected and further correspondence will not be entertained for any reasons therefor. The candidate shall ensure himself / herself that all the requisite attested copies of certificates are attached alongwith his / her application within the due date for submission and the Department will not be responsible for any lapse in this regard. No intimation will be given for receipt of late application and also the result of recruitment would not be intimated on any account to the non-selected candidates. Only the selected candidates will be issued offer of appointment. No correspondence or interim enquires from the candidates will be entertained in this regard. Selection list will be displayed in the Notice Board of this Directorate and office website health.puducherry.gov.in.

The applications received after the prescribed date and time i.e., received after 25/09/2015 at 05:45 p.m. will be rejected without any intimation to the candidate. Application, which is incorrect / ineligible, incomplete or wrongly filled in will also not be considered and such application will not be returned to the candidates.

Government servants working in the State/Central Government /Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel only within the due date i.e., on or before 05:45 p.m. on 25/09/2015. The applications of In-service candidates which are not duly forwarded by their Head of Departments / Offices within the due date and time of 05:45 p.m. on 25.09.2015 will be summarily rejected. Advance copy should not be sent and it will not be considered.

Change of address, if any, after submission of application should be intimated to the Department or otherwise the Department will not be responsible for any postal delay / non delivery of letters etc.

Candidates should submit only one application for any one of the post at a time. If the candidate desires to apply for more than one post, separate application for each post alongwith requisite attested copies of Certificates / Mark sheets etc should be submitted. COMMON APPLICATION FOR TWO OR MORE POSTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of vacancies and also to cancel the recruitment process, if necessity arises on administrative reasons. The decision of the Government shall be the final regarding the eligibility of candidates or otherwise.
