Job Description
- Perform experiments to further existing research programs and grants, concentrating on in vitro screening of novel drug candidates for the treatment of neurodegeneration and pain.
- Generate new ideas and projects for development.
- Assist with preparation of grants and manuscripts.
- Routine lab maintenance (i.e. cell culture).
- Management of trainees, projects, and lab function.
- Supervise and coordinate laboratory staff and graduate students.
- Analyze data and help with manuscript submission.

Minimum Qualifications
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three years of related research experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and four years of related research experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with cell culture models of signal transduction, molecular biology techniques, and in vitro drug screening.
- Experience with lab management.
- Strong work ethic and an interest in developing independent research projects.
