JOB PURPOSE
Establish an efficient process, system and contracts of Primary Transportation compliant with GDL 21.03 within India from Mfg. to Central Warehouse (CWH) / Regional Warehouse (RWH) and from CWH/RWH to CFAs. Facilitate smoother and faster execution of shipments by providing Compliant Warehousing Infrastructure & efficient procedures. Define Warehousing Strategy with alignment to 5 yr Business Plan. Ensure adherence to MSD SOPs, Policies on Primary distribution and statutory compliance. Manage Samples & Promo operations, to support GHH requirements of allocation/ shipments / deliveries and audit compliances related to Physician Samples and Promotional Items for field / HCPs
MAIN RESPONSBILITIES
• Define SOPs for Inward and Primary Transportation and Compliance.
• Contracts with CWH / RWH and Freight vendors.
• Transportation performance, Vendor performance
• GDL 21.03 execution in inward and primary transportation lanes
• Annual Budgeting for Freight & CWH costs in terms of Primary & Samples / Promo movements.
• Budget Vs Actual Costs.
• Achieve VCs planned.
• Manage Samples and Promotional inputs operations
• Contribute in S&OPs with inventory analysis, IQV on Samples & Promo inputs
• Closure of Audit observations and CAPAs
• 5 Year Warehouse Strategy.
• GDP implementation at CWH / RWH.
• Global QA audits for CWH / RWH.
• Train CWH / RWH on GDP and track compliance
• Train Freight Vendors on MSD requirements and track compliance

11) Ensure accuracy & timely provisions for expenses.
12) Train CWH / RWH HUB staff on SOPs, Operations, Reporting etc.

15) Optimise shipping modes
16) GDL 21.03 execution of action plans and tracking of performance Qualifications
Qualification:
• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science / Pharmacy faculty with work knowledge of Logistics function.
• Working knowledge of SAP Supply Chain / APO / SD modules or equivalent systems. Experience:
• 7-8 years of experience in Pharma Logistics, Distribution, Demand Management, Warehousing, Inventory Management, CFA operations…
Leadership, Professional and Functional Competencies*

• Good Knowledge of Taxation ie ED, VAT, CST, ST, Octroi, CD etc..
• Working Knowledge on D&C act, DPCO, NLEM, Narcotics etc..
