Job for Junior Research Fellow in NITR

NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India. Government of India has elevated the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela to a deemed university under the name of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Life Science of the Institute.

Post: Junior Research Fellow (01 post)

Name of the Research Project: “Role of microRNAs in Drosphila ear formation and function”

Name of the Sponsoring Agency: GOVT. of ODISHA Science and Technology Dept.

Tenure of the Project: April, 2017 to April, 2020

Tenure of the Assignment: 3 year, extendable annually till completion of project, subject to satisfactory performance

Job Description
Research work related to project

Consolidated monthly Fellowship
Rs. 12,000/- PM, 1st and 2nd year RS. 14,000/- PM, 3rd year

Essential Qualifications and experience: M.Sc. in Life Science, Botany, Biotechnology, microbiology, Biochemistry and allied biological sciences with 60% marks and with valid NET or GATE

Desirable Qualifications / Experiences : Prior working experience with molecular biology, histology, fly/insect handling expertise will be preferred

Accommodation :Bachelor accommodation in the Institute may be provided subject to availability
