Job Description
Manage entire pharmacy operations, supervising staff, performing administrative duties, and buying and selling pharmaceutical items. Assigns duties, responsibilities and authorities for all departmental staff. Certify good received note (GRN), rejecting non conforming products and determining emergency cash purchase.

- Order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, and drugs, maintaining stock and storing and handling it properly.
- Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, charge system files, inventories.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan, monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drugs and drug regimens, providing advice on drug applications and characteristics.
- Check dosage and ensure that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labeled (pharmacists are legally responsible for any dispensing errors).
- Liaising with doctors about prescriptions.
- Overseeing the ordering and safe storage of medical products.
- Keeping up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses.
- Maintaining inventory control.
- Maintaining updated drug information.
- Interviewing, managing, supervising and training the pharmacist and supportive staff.
- Involves hospital continual quality improvement.
- Coordinates with the pharmacy and therapeutic committee for approval of new items.
- Participate in departmental and peer review meetings
- Adheres to the rules and regulations of the hospital and assures that work performed is in keeping with the established standards.
- Performs any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills and experience as required by the management.
