The CCRS is the Apex body in India for formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Mettur dam. There is also an attractive performance based time-bound In-situ promotion scheme and special allowance for “Group - A” Medical Doctors and Non-Medical Scientists of this Council. Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment.

Post: Research Officer(Siddha Pharmacy), Research Officer (Pharmacognosy)

2. Name of the post: Research Officer(Siddha Pharmacy)
No. of vacancy: One (UR-1) By Direct Recruitment
Note:- Filling up the vacancy is subject to the approval of Competent Authority.
Age (as on 1.1.2014): Not exceeding 40 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto 5 years and for SC/ST/OBC candidates etc… as per orders issued by the Central Government)
Scale of Pay: Pay band (PB -3) (Rs.15600- 39100+Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-)
Qualifications: Essential:- 1. Postgraduate Degree in Siddha in Gunapadam from a CCIM recognized Institution. 2. Enrolment in the Central/ State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.

3. Name of the post: Research Officer (Pharmacognosy)
No. of vacancy: One (UR-1) By Direct Recruitment
Age (as on 1.1.2014): Not exceeding 40 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto 5 years and for SC/ST/OBC candidates etc… as per orders issued by the Central Government)
Scale of Pay: Pay band (PB -3) (Rs.15600- 39100+Grade Pay of Rs.5400/-)
Qualifications: Essential: M.Sc. in Botany/ Medicinal Plants or M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from a recognized university. Desirable: 1. Ph.D in relevant subject

General Conditions of the Service:
1. This Corrigendum is issued in supersession of earlier Advt No.1/2014, appeared in crisiddha.tn.nic.in. The Eligibility criteria for various posts as advertised earlier, stands amended as mentioned above. The number of vacancies has also been increased. Candidates who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria as mentioned above and who have already applied in response to Advertisement No.1/2014, need not apply again. Recruitment for the post of Stenographer, LDC and Driver stands cancelled. The DD received from the candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade-C, LDC and Driver is being returned.

2. These posts are temporary but likely to be continued. The fresh appointee shall be governed by New Pension Scheme. The candidate selected will be on probation for the period of two years and is liable to transfer anywhere in India including CCRS Institutes/Centre/Units/Hqrs etc….

3. The application forms can be downloaded from the Website crisiddha.tn.nic.in Candidates desiring to receive the application form by post are requested to send requisition along with sufficiently stamped self-addressed envelope. The application along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience, age, community certificate etc… should be enclosed along with the application with two recent passport size photographs, apart from that one recent passport size photograph has to be affixed in the first page of the application on the space provided and a demand draft for Rs.100/- for OBC/General candidates and Rs.20/- for SC/ST candidates, which has to be drawn in favour of Central Council for Research In Siddha, payable at Chennai. Original certificates have to be produced at the time of written test/Interview. Testimonials and certificates should be produced by the physically Handicapped and Women candidates, who are exempted from the application fee. The candidates should mention “Application for the post of ____________” in bold letters on the right side top of the envelope.

4. The date, time and venue of the written test, interview will be communicated to the candidates, for which candidates are requested to enclose one self-addressed envelope (11x5cm) affixing postal stamps worth Rs.25/- along with the duly filled in prescribed Application Form in a separate cover.

5. Relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ candidates/Govt. servants etc… as per the Central Govt. Rules, which are in force.

6. Separate application shall be submitted for each post. Candidates applying for the post of R.O. (Siddha Pharmacy) and R.O. (Siddha) are required to submit separate applications for each post.

7. The application for the above mentioned posts have to be submitted by 26-05-2014. The application received after due date will not be considered under any circumstances.

8. Persons already in service must submit their application through proper channel. While forwarding the applications of in-service candidates, Heads of the Institutions should certify that the applicants are free from the Administrative and Vigilance angle and that no vigilance proceedings are pending/contemplated against the candidates. Photocopies of ACRs/APAR’s dossiers of the candidates for the last 5 years have to be forwarded through proper channel along with the application.

9. Candidates who are short listed/qualifying for interview will be paid 2nd class railway fare for to and fro journey by the shortest route as per the rules against production of the Railway Tickets.

10. Late application/incomplete applications or applications received without Demand Draft, self-attested copies of experience, academic qualification, age and community etc… will be summarily rejected.
11. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

12. Director General, CCRS, reserves the right to cancel the Recruitment for all/ any of the posts without assigning any reason.

13. The numbers of vacancies shown against Sl.No.2 may vary subject to the requirements at the stage of final selection.
