Post: Regional Clinical Manager (15881)

Job Description
Management of local clinical trials and other studies  in co-operation with external providers, academic institutions and Merck CH global departments. Plan and set-up local clinical projects in close co-operation with global clinical management. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations as well as with Merck CH quality documents. Develop local quality documents in order to improve quality and performance in local clinical projects. Advice regional development teams in clinical and statistical issues as well in financial estimates of planned projects. Review local studies conducted by Merck companies on CH products.
Regional expert for answering study related authority questions and for participating in such inspections.

EDUCATION/LANGUAGES
University degree in medicine, preferably doctor degree. Fluent in English.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (Consumer Health)  in the area of clinical development, on a regional as well as local basis.
Confirmed experience in Project Management / Leadership of clinical trials.
Clinical experience with medicinal products and food supplements.
Experienced in managing multicultural & cross-functional project teams.
Mastered use of job- and area-specific software and databases.

PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to work in a multi-functional and multi-national environment, negotiating skills, ability to create and maintain strong and trustful relationship. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good in decision making, goal-oriented leadership, problem solving ability.
