The Biocon Bristol-Myers Squibb Research & Development Center (BBRC) is a collaboration between Bristol-Myers Squibb and Syngene International, a Biocon- group company, and is based in Bangalore, India. This state-of-the-art 200,000 sq ft facility houses integrated R&D capabilities for over 450 scientists. Fully operational since 2009, the site is involved in Target Identification, Lead Discovery and Lead Optimization all the way through to early stage Pharmaceutical Development and Clinical Biomarkers R&D.

Job Description
• PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry, or related fields
•Expert knowledge in biopharmaceutical analysis of biomarkers, proteins or peptides (must) with 2-5 years track record in industry or research institutions
• Candidate should have strong understanding and proven experience in the areas of biomarkers, biochemical properties of proteins, analysis and characterization of proteins using advanced Mass Spectrometry and bioanalytical methods for protein characterization.
• The individual should have in-depth understanding and hands-on experience in identifying proteolytic cleavage sites, separation techniques of proteins & peptides such as immuno-enrichment / SPE / LLE, performing enzymatic digestion, separating and analyzing proteomic analytes, as well as use of in-silico digestion programs and bioinformatics databases.
• Demonstrated skills and proficiency in all aspects of ligand binding assays.
• Excellent working knowledge of various mass spectrometry platforms (SCIEX/Thermo/Agilent).
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to establish effective collaborations across research sites with various cross functional stakeholders.
• Should have excellent collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a complex, multi-discipline organizational model
