Applications are invited from the eligible candidates of Mayurbhanj District in the prescribed format for engagement in the post of Pharmacist on contractual basis in the Drug Distribution Centers in different Health Institutions of Mayurbhanj district. The last date of receipt of the forms by Regd/Speed post only is on or before 29.7.2015, “Application for the post of Contractual Pharmacist” should be written in the top of the envelope addressed to the Chief Dist. Medical Officer, Mayurbhanj, At/PO: Baripada,757001. The applications received after due date/by ordinary post and incomplete manner, non-enclosing of required documents will not be entertained and liable for rejection without any intimation thereof.

Consolidated remuneration: Rs.5200/- Per month + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/

Eligibility: Must have passed+2 Science Examination under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/ equivalent and Diploma in Pharmacy from any of the 3 (three) Medical College & Hospitals of the State/any other recognized private Institutions duly approved by A.I.C.T.E. and examination conducted by the Odisha Pharmacy Board.

Age limit: Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as on 15.7.2015. Provided that the upper age limit will be relaxed in respect of the reserved categories of candidates referred in accordance with the provisions of the Act rules, orders or instructions for the time being in force, for their respective categories.

The Pharmacists engaged on contractual basis under the Central Plan Schemes, State plan Schemes and externally aided schemes who are below the age of 45 years as on 15.7.2015 and completed at least one year of continuous service are allowed to take part in this recruitment process. The Pharmacist candidate as mentioned above shall be allowed one percent extra mark of the total marks for each completed year of continuous service subject to a maximum of fifteen percent which will be added to the marks secured by them for deciding the merit position.

The O.R.V.act and Rules will be followed for the engagement.

The Recruitment to the post of Pharmacist in the Service shall be made by way of selection through carrier assessment of the candidates by the Board as follows:

The candidate must be of good mental and physical health and free from any physical defects likely to make him incapable of discharging her/his normal duties in the Service.

A candidate who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe is not found to satisfy for these requirements as specified above shall not be appointed to the Service.

He must have registered his name in Pharmacist Council in the State have possessed valid registration certificates as on the date of advertisement.

The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia, have passed from Middle school examination with odia as language subject, or have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject, or have passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of class-VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the central Government; or have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
