Application in the prescribed format is invited from the intending candidates for filling up of the vacant post of Pharmacist on contractual basis. The candidates are required to submit their application as per the format duly filled in their own hand. The candidates who are engaged on contractual basis under Central Plan Schemes, State Plan Schemes and externally aided Schemes are required to apply through proper channel. Applications along with self attested copies of certificates, mark sheets and other particulars must reach the office of the Chief District Medical Officer, Khordha, At/Po/Dist- Khordha, Pin-752055 through registered/speed post only by 5 PM on 25.07.2015. Candidates are advised to visit www.khordha.nic.in for detail information on category wise vacancy, recruitment procedure, eligibility criteria, prescribed application format and documents to be attached in the application. Non- compliance of any of the requirements mentioned in the notice of advertisement shall entail rejection of his/her application. The application if found defective/incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected. If any document filed by the candidate is found subsequently to have been obtained fraudulently the appointment if made shall be cancelled. Applications received in the office after the due date and time shall be summarily rejected. In case of receipt of large number of applications, the authority reserves the right to shortlist the candidates in accordance with Odisha Pharmacist Service {Methods of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2015. Over and above, the District Selection Board is also competent to adopt suitable method in processing the applications & scrutinizing them. The authority reserves right of accepting/rejecting any or all application without assigning any reason thereof.
Post: Pharmacist (Contractual)
No.of post: 19 (ST). (The vacancies are to be filled up subject to reservation for women candidates and physically handicapped/Ex-servicemen/Sports person as per Rule and the number of posts may increase or decrease)
Monthly remuneration: Pay Rs, 5200/- + GP Rs. 2400/- per month (with annual increase of 10%) during the period of contractual.
Recruitment Procedure: Recruitment to the post of Pharmacist in the service shall be made by way of selection through career assessment of the candidates (Total marks- 100) i.e. (i) HSC (excluding 4th optional)/equivalent (20%), (ii) +2 Science (excluding 4th optional)/equivalent (30%) & (iii) Diploma in Pharmacy (50%) by the Board.
Eligibility criteria:
i) Nationality- She/he must be a citizen of India.
ii) Age Limit- She/he must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years on the date of this advertisement. Provided that the upper age limit in respect of the reserved categories of candidates, women, sportsmen, Ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities shall be relaxed in accordance with the provisions of the Act, Rules, orders or instructions for the time being in force for their respective categories. Provided further that the Pharmacists engaged on contractual basis under the Central Plan Schemes, State Plan Schemes and externally aided Schemes who are below the age of 45 years and have completed at least one year of continuous service shall be allowed to take part in the recruitment process.
iii) Knowledge in Odia- The candidate must (a) be able to read, write and speak Odia,
(b) have passed middle school examination with Odia as Language subject; or (c) have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject: or (d) have passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Ciass-VII from a School or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; or (e) have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
iv) Marital status:- If married, the candidate must not have more than one spouse living; Provided that the candidate can be exempted, if Government may satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such candidate or there are other specific grounds for doing so.
v) Minimum Educational Qualification: Must have passed +2 Science Examination under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/equivalent and Diploma in Pharmacy from any of the 3(three) Medial College & Hospitals of the State/any other recognized private institutions duly approved by AICTE and examination conducted by the Odisha Pharmacy Board.
vi) Physical Fitness: The candidate must be of good mental and physical health and free from any physical defects likely to make him/her incapable of discharging her/his normal duties in the Service.
vii) A candidate who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe is not found to satisfy these requirements as specified in (vi) shall not be appointed to the service.
viii) She/he must have registered his name in Pharmacist Council in the State and have possessed valid Registration certificates as on the date of the advertisement.
