Job Description
The Senior Manager of Asia Contract Manufacturing Consumer Health will manage all activities of the Consumer Health Division on the interface to Contract Manufacturers in the general frame and guidance of the Global Contract Manufacturing Organisation and in close cooperation with Group Procurement in the Asian region. He/ she will ensure the supply of Consumer Health products on time, in full, within required quality specifications and at competitive cost.

These activities include the management of external manufacturing and delivery Consumer Health Care finished and semi-finished products, the management of all related suppliers and the setup of a sustainable management model concerning Supplier Relationship Management

Strategy
- Implement the defined Global Contract Manufacturing Strategy in the Asian Region
- Realize cost benefits through consolidation and optimisation of supplier base and supplier performance in the Asian region in line with the global CMO strategy
- Follow-up the KPIs to control performance of supplier
- Implement the defined sourcing strategies
- Risk Management external manufacturing in the Asian Region
- Secure the implementation of disaster recovery plans for critical suppliers and strategic products in the Asian region

Key Supplier Management in the Asia Region
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance
- Qualify and validate supplier base
- Assess and qualify supplier reliability and evaluate risk and economic dependence
- Support procurement in evaluation of supplier price and costing strategies
- Qualify actual and future capacity
- Identify and manage supplier disengagement process
- Assist tender process
- Actively control product supply and resolve non-compliance with specifications or manufacturing requirements
- Manage supplier capabilities to meet required product supply specifications
- Identify, initiate and realize Supplier improvement programs

Qualification & Skills
- Academic degree in natural or applied sciences (Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry)
- Minimum of 2-3 yrs cross-functional work experience with Pharma, Biopharmaceutical or Chemical activities
- Manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 1-2 yrs international work experience
- Minimum of 2-3  yrs experience in solid line leadership
- Excellent experience in customer and/or supplier relationship management
- Experience in international business management (domestic and overseas)
- Fluent in English (written and verbal communication
- Excellent management skills
- Ease of handling proven analytic and management tools
- Excellent negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Excellent business mind-set with demonstrated ability of conceptual and analytical thinking
- Prepared for business travel requirements
