Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up of one post of Director, North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh) (An autonomous Institution under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India) by Deputation/Contract for a fixed tenure of 5 years or date of retirement, whichever is earlier, in the Pay Band-4 of Rs. 37,400- 67,000+8700 (Grade Pay) + NPA as admissible as per Central Government Rules.

Maximum Age of direct recruitment: 50 years
Can be relaxed upto 55 years in case of persons holding the post of Principal / Director of any AYUSH institution

Educational & other qualification Required for Deputation / contract:
(i) Recognised PG qualification in any of AYUSH streams/ Public Health/ Health Management or Ethno-botany or Social anthropology/ Biological Science/ Forestry / Environment Science
(ii) 15 years' standing in the profession of which 3 (three) years regular service in grade in Associate Professor/ Reader or 8 (eight) years combined experience in the Post - Graduate teaching (Associate Professor/Reader/Asstt. Professor), or Research and Administration (AYUSH Education), or experience of atleast 3 years in a leading inter-disciplinary team.
(iii) Officers having 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 plus grade pay Rs.7600/- or 5 years combined regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 15600-39100 plus grade pay Rs. 7600/- and Rs. 15600-39100 plus grade pay Rs.6600/-

Note: Either experience or age are relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority in the case of candidates otherwise found suitable.

Desirable:
i. Administrative / community based experience of over 7 years in responsible capacity preferably in N.E. Area.
ii. Ph. D in relevant science
iii. Should possess a good publication record.

Officers who are eligible for recruitment by deputation: Officers of the A.I.S. / Central Government/ State Govt./ Autonomous body /Research Councils/ Universities/ NGOs having essential qualification as prescribed above.

General Instructions:
1. Eligible candidates to apply for the post in prescribed proforma along with photocopies of all relevant documents through proper channel.
2. While forwarding the application, the sponsoring authority shall ensure that the particulars of the candidate are verified and that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions, along with a certificate that no disciplinary proceeding is pending or contemplated against the applicant.
3. Complete ACR dossier/ APARs of last five years of the applicant must be enclosed with the application.
4. Applications in prescribed format should reach the Ministry of AYUSH within 45 days of the publication of this advertisement. Application received late or incomplete or not through the proper channel shall be rejected.
5. The crucial date for determination of eligibility regarding age, experience etc. shall be the last date for receipt of applications.
6. Applicants will be fully responsible for the accuracy of the information they furnish. Any information furnished by the candidate if found wrong at any stage will result in his/her disqualification of the candidature and /or dismissal from the service at any stage.
7. The terms & conditions for appointment will be as per prevailing Rectt. Rules.
8. Ministry of AYUSH reserves the right not to fill up the post without assigning any reason thereof at any stage of the recruitment process.
