Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) invites applications for Junior Research Fellows and Research Associate

Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS) provides an excellent opportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in basic and applied Life Sciences research. DIPAS endeavors in optimizing human performance under extreme operational environments using physiological, biochemical, nutritional and ergonomic approach. The labs are equipped with state - of - art facilities to conduct human studies, animal and in - vitro experimentation with an interdisciplinary approach. Cutting - edge technology ( Micro - Array facilities, MALDI - TOF, Human Decompression Chamber, CAD, Bio informatics and Nanotechnology) at the institute encompasses broad interdisciplinary areas - Physiology; Biochemistry; Bio M edical Sciences; Biotechnology and Organic Chemi stry/Phytochemistry.

Post: Junior Research Fellows, Research Associate

Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates for the post of DRDO Junior Research Fellows and Research Associate to work in ongoing and future research projects of DIPAS. Recruited JRF may be facilitated to register for Ph.D programme in respective disciplines .

Essential Qualifications:
For Junior Research Fellows (No. of Seats 10) Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences (Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Bio Medical Sciences/ Biotechnology) with first division wherever division or equivalent grading is awarded.

For Research Associate (No. of Seat 01) PhD in Life Sciences (Physiology/ Biochemistry/ BioMedical Sciences/ Biotechnology) or M tech/ ME with 3 years experience in Research, Teaching, Design and Development. Degree should be in first division wherever d ivision o r equivalent grading is awarded.

Age: For Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) maximum 28 and 35 years respectively, as on 31.12.2014 (Relaxable for 5 years for SC/S T and 3 years for OBC as per govt. rules)

Selected candidates will be called for an interview on 18.09.2014 at DIPAS, Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi - 110054.

Travelling allowances (TA) will not be admissible for the interview.
Candidates will be required to produce certificates/testimonials in original at the time of interview.

Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Co mmittee of the Institute which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof. Number of seats for JRF and RA may increase or decrease without prior notice.
