To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish.The hegemony of the British establishment had to be challenged. Education had to play a new role in this changed scenario. It had to become a new form of resistance through which the emergent nationalist spirit could be propagated. With this in mind the National Council of Education (NCE) came into being.

Essential Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Pharmacy with at least 55% marks, 50% in case of SC/ST/PH)
Desirable:
a) Qualified in NET/GATE/GPAT Examination
b) Experience in handling instruments like RT–PCR,
Electrophoresis, HPLC, Microplate reader
c) Publication of Research Findings in peer reviewed journals
Fellowship:
Rs. 14000/ - per month (For Non GATE/GPAT Candidates)
Rs. 16000/ - per month (For GATE/GPAT Candidates)
Age:
Below the age of 40 years.
relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC / ST / OBC / Women / physically handicapped Candidates
