Formed in 2005, the State Health Society of Bihar is the apex agency tasked with implementation of diverse schemes in Health. Under the National Health Mission guidelines, it works towards enabling access to Health in the state of Bihar.
The Society is headed by a full time Assistant Executive Director and a pool of professionals who help in running the affairs of the society.

Post: Assistant Director – Biomedical Waste Management

Qualification: Essential: MBBS/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS/B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Pharma + MHA / PGDHHM + Certificate course in Quality management


Experience: Essential:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Experience in hospital / healthcare industry of minimum 3 years of a hospital of 200 beds or more

Maximum Age: 37 years


Consolidated Remuneration: 43000/- per month

Duration of Contract
The recruitment will initially be for a period of eleven months which shall be extendable upto 3 years subject to following conditions.
a. satisfactory performance
b. continued requirement of the position, and
c. approval of the position by Government of India in PIP of National Health Mission.
The contract may be extended beyond three years subject to fulfilment of criteria (a), (b), and (c) mentioned above.

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
• Coordinating with various hospitals to formulate proper guidelines for segregation of Bio Medical Waste
• Supervision of the facilities to ensure adherence to the guidelines
• Coordination with facilities and State Pollution Control Board as well as Central Pollution Control Board.
• Evaluation of facilities of Biomedical Waste Management including segregation and disposal
• Finalization & review of Bio Medical Disposal agencies
• Planning and implementing strategic changes to improve service delivery.
• Assist in procurement of equipment and supplies for proper biomedical waste management
• Ensuring regular trainings for the staff (Clinical & Non Clinical) to improve service delivery.

Desirable skills
Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills in English & Hindi

Agreement:
Selected candidate will draw a contractual agreement with SHSB before joining the post.
