Job Description:
Medical Advisor will participate in driving, planning, developing and delivering of medical and clinical programs for India Medical Affairs. This includes engaging KOLs, training the field force & ensuring compliance to good Pharmacovigilance practices, and running clinical trials to develop the scientific evidence to support business growth.

- Establish partnerships across Medical Affairs and Scientific Communications to develop disease and product related training
- Conduct cross-functional needs assessments and confer with functional managers to determine learning needs based on projected goals and objectives. Deliver a formal disease state/product training plan endorsed by stakeholder groups.
- Scientifically drive KOLs on a regular basis (During key Conferences, Field visits, GE sponsored events) and influence internal stakeholders by creating Meeting Reports & follow-up plans
- Design and Provide medical inputs on IIT/PMS Studies and pre-launch products’ development plan
- Scientifically address all the medical queries arising from internal & external stakeholders with regards to GE products/Therapy area/Clinical Guidelines
- Ensure that Medical inputs on all Promotional Material is compliant to Global GE guidelines and also meets local regulatory requirements
- Report all Adverse events according to stipulated Global PV guidelines
- Support Global Pharmacovigilance (CSU), report local AE case to CSU, and to ensure that local submissions strictly meet the timeline and standards according to the SOP
- Participate in the testing and launch process for e-learning courses and training program pilots for disease specific programs
- Review evaluations of learning programs and discuss recommendations for improvement with the team and medical affairs leadership
- Maintain the Pharmacovigilance database
- Align the India Medical Strategy with China to support the regional medical head for the business growth


Candidate Profile:
- Medical Post Graduate (MD Pharmacology/MD/MS in any Clinical Specialty) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function in Pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of CM from a scientific background, with strong understanding of therapeutic areas of interest and must be able to stay current on scientific data, clinical information, the competitive landscape and compliance issues/changes
- Strong influential skill and demonstrate strong leadership behavior with potentially significant impact to commercial and medical assessments
- Inputs on the development of regional asset lifecycle plans and strategies
- Comfortable taking a proactive stance in partnering with all levels of the organization to identify and deliver value added services
- Should have a Methodological approach.
- Strong people, process, program and project management experience required
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to proactively suggest new ideas and improvements.
- Excellent team player with a Global mindset
- Willingness for up to 30% local travel (based on Business needs)

Desired Characteristics: Excellent communication skills Business partnership skills Willingness to travel Board-certification in Radiology or Cardiology are preferred with prior clinical/industry experience
