Job Description
The role is for down stream process development scientist. This postilion is very challenging and has involves process development for purification of recombinant proteins Monoclonal antibodies and other proteins from natural sources. The role also has responsibilities in customer training.

Essential Responsibilities: Support process development of recombinant proteins, MAbs and proteins from natural sources using various purification techniques especially chromatography and filtration. . Support customer training by contributing to lectures and conducting hands-on laboratory sessions, Ensure safe operations in the lab and follow the site EHS policies. Contribute to lab maintenance activities

Qualifications/Requirements: Msc. in Biotechnology/biochemistry/microbiology/life sciences; or M.Tech- Biotechnology with at least 3 year of experience in down stream process development activities and in-process analysis of proteins. Ph.D (life sciences) with 1-2 years of experience.

The candidate should have sound knowledge and hands-on experience handling different chromatography techniques- Ion Exchange chromatography, Hydrophobic Interaction chromatography, Affinity chromatography and tangential flow filtration. The candidate should have good understanding of basic in-process analytical tools-protein estimations, electrophoresis, ELISA etc.

Desired Characteristics: A good team player ready to take on challenging projects. Good analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret experimental results and data. Good communication skills and willing to travel for business purpose.
