DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews prescriptions issued by AHF physicians or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and clinical appropriateness;
- Prepares, fills and compounds drugs’ orders by AHF physicians and other authorized personnel;
- Supervise pharmacy personnel engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products;
- Resolves queries and provides drug information to patients and providers on drug indication, interactions, contra-indications, side-effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceutical products;
- Ensures compliance to established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs;
- Manages appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory;
- Manages inventory and performs monthly stock count;
- Assists the Pharmacy Manager in preparing  quarterly drug forecast;
- Provides Pharmacy Manager with statistical data as required;
- Other duties, as assigned by the Superviser

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AHF’s policies and applicable Government laws;
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma in Pharmacy, or B. Pharmacy
- Prior 2-3 years expencince of working as Dispensing Pharmacist in retail or Hospital Pharmacy
- Training of IT softwares for Pharmacy Practice will be added advantage

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Proficincy in English and Hindi
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals;
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory bodies;
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

ANALYTICAL and COMPUTER SKILLS:
High Skills:- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical solutions.
Well-versed with basic computer applications and MS Office

REASONING ABILITY:
- Very High Skills:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;  
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Registration Certificate to practice as Pharmacist, prefereably from Delhi Pharmacy Council

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate well with patients in a healthcare center setting;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Be able to meet deadlines and cope with a large number of tasks at one time;
- Exhibit honesty and commitment in assisting India Cares to achieve its goals;

- Should have management, counseling, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Should have a client focused approach and a pleasant personality;
- Needs to be sensitive to confidentiality and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS;
- Good command of up?to date knowledge and practices in HIV/AIDS treatment and care;
- Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills; with minimum supervision.
