The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is inviting applications from eligible candidates/retired Government servants for engagement to the post of Consultant, National Programme for the Prevention and Control of Fluorosis (NPPCF) on contract basis with a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 60,000/-.
Post: Consultant
Eligibility:
(i) Postgraduate / Doctorate degree in Public Health/Community Medicine/ Biochemistry /Physiology /Environmental Health/Life Sciences;
(ii) At least 5 years experience in planning and implementation of National Programmes.
(iii) Post Graduate in Dental Surgery(MDS), Food & Nutrition and Home Economics.
Desirable : Proficiency in use of ICT
Terms of Reference:
i. To assist in planning, development of guidelines, training, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of program;
ii. To assist in guiding state team for surveillance of fluorosis in the identified district to ascertain the population actually suffering/at risk of fluorosis;
iii. To undertake field visits of endemic districts/villages to monitor the programme;
iv. To collect the information of fluoride & mapping the endemic villages of the districts;
v. To assist in establishing the laboratory for fluoride estimation of urine and serum;
vi. Coordination with Public Health Engineering Department(PHED) and DHS/State Nodal Officers.
vii. To coordinate with state for organizing training program for different categories of personnel;
viii. To coordinate for IEC and BCC activities for generating awareness and behavioral changes about Fluorosis in endemic districts;
ix. To assist in monitoring achievement of financial and physical targets under the program;
x. To assist in developing laboratory capacity building and national networking of laboratories of different States/UTs set up under the programme of NVBDCP/NCDC.
Notes:
• Applicants with experience in accounts/budget in health sector would be preferred.
• The applicants should be able to tour extensively for assisting in monitoring and supervision
• Tenure : One Year
• Place of duty shall be New Delhi.
• The remuneration offered is consolidated and fixed. No allowance is admissible.
