Kolkata Municipal Corporation invites application from the candidates to select Apprentice Trainee (Degree/Diploma) for the period of 1(one) Calendar Year of commencing from 2016 with the assistance of Board of Practical Training (Govt. of India.) and to be deployed in different technical/specialized departments of KMC.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation will deploy Apprentice trainee in KMC as per The Apprentices Act, 1961 & The Apprentices Rules, 1992(as amended time to time) with the assistance of Board of Practical Training (Govt. of India.).
N.B:
(1) The apprentice shall abide by the rules and regulations of the establishment in all matters of conduct and discipline and carry out all lawful orders of the employer and superiors in the establishment.
(2) The apprentice shall conduct himself as a trainee and not as a worker, learn his trade conscientiously and diligently and endeavor to qualify himself as a skilled craftsman in his trade before the expiry of the period of training. Save as provided in the Apprentices Act, 1961, provisions of any law with respect to labor will not be applicable to him.
(3) Candidates belong to BOPT – WEB – PORTAL (as selected by BOPT) has been also included in this selection procedure and also invited.
(4) Out of 100-nos of apprentices, reservation ratio as per ‘Act’ will be 75:20: 05(GEN:SC:ST)
Qualification: Diploma from any recognized Institute ( Govt. Registered) or equivalent (Fresher’s desirable)
Stipend Payable Per month as per “Act” [Rs.].: 3592
