The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is the state-of-the-art R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), which also includes under its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the largest cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to function as a national centre for treatment, research and education in cancer. TMC is an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act (1950). Its Governing Council is headed by the Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, Government of India.

The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Tata Memorial Centre, invites exceptional candidates to apply for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant and Associate Professor to undertake cancer research in the following areas:
1) Cancer Immunotherapy
2) Tumor microenvironment and Hypoxia
3) Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
4) Tumor Immunology
The successful candidates are expected to conduct independent, innovative basic and translational research and contribute to the academic mission of ACTREC/TMC. The positions also offer ample opportunities for close collaboration with clinicians in a thriving world class tertiary cancer hospital.

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D.

Experience: Post MD / Ph.D. Research experience of 5 years

Pay in Pay band and Grade Pay: PB-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) Pay in pay band  21,900+ G.P. of  7,600 Total emoluments = 82,000/- p.m.

The above requirements may be relaxed in cases of candidates with outstanding academic record by the competent authority. The salary/benefits/service conditions will be as per applicable norms for ACTREC/TMC as a Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

Applicants should submit electronic copies of curriculum vitae, publications and a brief (1-2 pages) research statement outlining their 5-10 year research vision. At this point, no letters of reference are requested but the candidates should include names and contact information of three referees.

Maximum age limit for all the position is 45 years as on January 15th, 2016.
