This included referring to ancient ayurvedic texts, selecting indigenous herbs and subjecting the formulations to modern pharmacological, toxicological and safety tests to create new drugs and therapies.

Person Specification:

Should have an experience of 3+ years
Good communication skills
Should be proficient in handling computer operations.
Complete understanding on the global regulatory guidelines on food,food safety and nutritional labelling.
Exposure in the analysis of food adulterates and contaminants like pesticides residues
Exposure in other MS based techniques like LC-MS and GC-MS with sound knowledge in mass spectral database and analysis of food nutrients using these techniques.

Job Description:

Expertise in chemical analysis of food (Protein, fat, carbohydeates, amino acids, vitamins, sugars, dietary fibres, crude fibres, saturated fat) essential elements, calorific values etc.
Skills in method development for nutrient analysis in various complex food matrices.
Complete understanding of the ICH requirement on validation of analytical methods
Should be well versed in handling sophisticated analytical equipment like HPLC, GC, HPTLC, AAS, FTIR, Spectrophotometer ect,should be familiar in various instrument software options.
Calibration, maintenance and trouble shooting of analytical equipments.
In depth understanding of systems and procedures; preferably from an accredited lab(GLP or FSSAI)
