Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and three inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Applications are invited for a Walk in interview for the following post(s) in the project entitled, "Optimization of novel antileishmania scaffold 4-(4,4,8-Trimethyl-7-oxo- 3-oxabicyclo[3.3.1]non-2-yl)-benzoic acid methyl ester, a oxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonanones: A mechanistic study" at the department of Biosciences & Bioengineering, IIT Guwahati.
Pay Recommended (Rs) : 44200.00
Duration of Appointmentl in month : 06
Qualifications : PhD equivalent degree in any life science related subjects. Candidates with experience on Leishmania will be preferred. Candidates who has submitted PhD but degree not awarded may be considered for Extended- SRF with pay: Rs. 28000 + HRA. After award of PhD degree Extended-SRF will be upgraded to Research Associate
