Evolet Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. is planning to set up a Formulation Research and Development facility and therefore, is looking for a highly qualified and motivated candidate for the position of “Head – Formulation Research and Development”.

Post: Head - Formulation Research & Development (only experience candidates - Min. 10 years of experience in FR&D needed)

Job Description
1. To establish a robust R&D department, equipped with all resources (machines, Laboratory, manpower, IT access) which will help in executing all the new products submitted by the high management, in addition to the improving process of the existing products in a programmatic attitude.
2. Advanced knowledge of the principals and practices of pharmaceutical sciences combined with professional experience in developing and testing formulation processes in more than one dosage form or product category.
3. Expertise in immediate and modified release of oral dosage formulations and technologies.
4. Hands on experience on fluid bed granulation and drying, high shear granulation, fluid bed coating (lab and pilot scale), blending, compression, encapsulation, tablet coating, etc.
5. Knowledge of scale-up and technology transfer to commercial manufacturing.
6. Demonstrable technical and practical knowledge and experience in Pharmaceutical processes/optimization, equipment, validation and technology transfer.
7. Demonstrable ability to solve scientific problems.
8. Demonstrate experience in providing innovative solutions to technical and scientific problems. Well-developed problem solving skills and good scientific judgment are required.
9. Knowledge of current FDA technical initiatives, SUPAC (Scale Up and Post Approval Changes), cGMPs, and compliance and validation guidance is mandatory.
10. Will work with peers of other departments in completing documents and assisting Regulatory Affairs in ANDA submissions.
11. Demonstrate ability to secure commitments for projects across the relevant functional area. Effectively represents Process Development in project team(s).
12. Ability to lead cross functional team and achieve results effectively. Able to work independently on assignments & contribute to the development of new experimental approaches
13. Follows policies and SOPs pertaining to the department and the organization.
14. Ability to understand patents and claims.

Candidate Profile
• Should be B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy/MSc.
• Minimum 10 years of research experience in pharmaceutical industry;
• Open to travel;
• High level of responsibility;
• Ability to work under defined deadlines;
• Strong organization and verbal/written communication skills;
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point);
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in English; Knowledge of other foreign languages would be an asset
