Applications are invited for MSc Life Sciences as Senior Research fellow in GBPUAT

G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. The University was declared as the best among all the other State Universities in India, in 1997. The University lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in the district of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. The university is regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India.

Applications are invited for Senior Research fellow in a Project entitled "Creation of double gene mutant (stn and inv) of Salmonella Typhimurium and testing of immunepotential of mutant” Financed by DBT. The fellowship is purely temporary and may continue till the duration of the research project.

The appointment shall he given on six monthly review basis.

The monthly emoluments For SRF as per DBT norms.

Essential Qualifications: MVSc Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry with NET 18000/- PM
MSc Life Sciences with NET with two years research experience 18000/- PM
MSc Life Sciences with NET 16000/- PM
MVSc Rs 15000/- PM
MSc. Rs 14000/- PM

Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of Genetic Engineering.

The interview for the above mentioned post will be held on 12.5.2014 in the office of undersigned at 11.00 AM. The candidates are requested to bring their original certificates at the time of interview.
