Acharya Institutes

Acharya & BM Reddy College of Pharmacy
Acharya & B.M. Reddy College of Pharmacy was founded in the year 1992. The college is recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.The College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India, and accredited by NBA and NAAC. The college offers a wide range of programmes in Pharmacy - Diploma in Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Pharm D, six specialisations in Master of Pharmacy and Doctoral Studies leading to Ph.D

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association
The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) is a premier professional association of pharmacists in India, with a member base of over 10,000, spread across the length & breadth of the nation. The members represent various facets of pharmaceutical profession viz. Industry, regulatory, community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy & education.

Association of Toxicology
The Association of Toxicology (AoT) was formed out of a need in the country both in the CRO, but also in product development companies for training and improvement of talent and also increasing the talent pool of the growing demands in the country. The main aim of AoT is to come up with a variety of training programs which are good for the Industry and also for National Research Institutes.

About the Program
The pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in India is growing at an estimated rate of 12 percent and 20 percent annually – through a combination of new in-house drug development projects and collaboration with western companies – making it a hub for biomedical innovation. The Indian CRO industry is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 31 percent to reach USD 3 billion by the year 2015.
There is an increasing demand for trained professional and technical staffs in laboratories to conduct preclinical trials and safety studies necessary to meet the regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals. This Preclinical research workshop will provide attendees with the details of conducting, supervising and monitoring preclinical studies in an ever-increasingly stringent regulatory environment. This course is organized and conducted in order to disseminate basic facts and principles that are essential for the human use and care of animals recruited for research, to support a critical and analytical attitude towards the scientific knowledge underlying laboratory animal science related activities and to improve quality of research conducted.
