The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad is a premier autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, that has been established to provide services in DNA fingerprinting and diagnosis of genetic disorders, and to undertake high quality basic research in frontier areas of modern biology.

The National Innovation Foundation – India, is India's national initiative to strengthen the grassroots technological innovations and outstanding traditional knowledge. Its mission is to help India become a creative and knowledge-based society by expanding policy and institutional space for grassroots technological innovators. NIF scouts, supports and spawns' grassroots innovations developed by individuals and local communities in any technological field, helping in human survival without any help from formal sector.

The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) is an autonomous institution of Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, for a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines / hybridomas etc. The Centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus, Pune.

The BITS BioCyTiH Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company hosted by BITS Pilani under the National Mission of Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of Government of India (GOI). The mandate of the company is to fashion a platform that would foster translational research, innovation, skill development and training in areas of bio-cyber-physical systems (Bio-CPS) related to healthcare, agriculture, water and environment. The aim is to build state of the art national facilities across three campuses of BITS Pilani (viz.

Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Ghaziabad is a central training establishment of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) under Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The centre is engaged in training, grooming and augmenting capabilities of Scientists, technologists, technical, and administrative staff of CSIR constituents. CSIR-HRDC is also the nodal agency for CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative programme to facilitate implementation of the skill development activities across all the CSIR laboratories located pan India.

CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) – is amongst one of the constituent research institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Originally set up as the National Botanic Gardens (NBG) by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), it was taken over by the CSIR in 1953.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes.

Unlike the Postgraduate Institutes which lack the basic departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology etc, the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as the superspecialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology etc.
