The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. LNCP was conceived not only as Pharmacy Colleges, but the centers of educational excellence. Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak was established through an Act of Legislative Assembly of Haryana in the year 1976 with a specific objective-  "To establish and incorporate a teaching-cum-affiliating University at Rohtak for the encouragement of interdisciplinary higher education and research with special emphasis on studies of Life Sciences and Environmental and Ecological Sciences". During the last over 26 years of its existence the University has achieved a remarkable degree of success in its expansion programmes, infrastructural developments and in academic excellence. Moving from the limited original objective of studies in Life Sciences, the University today functions under 13 faculties with 27 post-graduate departments on the campus running 77 academic programmes. There are 66 Boards of Studies for developing and designing courses in different disciplines.

The institute campus area is 15 Acers featuring with well equipped Lab, Library & Reading room. It also features a computer lab with Wi-Fi and Lease line with 4 mbps high speed internet connection. Total intake of 60 students, since academic year 2004-05. presently 240 students are taking technical education. The institute is providing platform of students in different competitions such as State Level paper presentation, sports for overall development of students. The excellent academic infrastructure of the Institute is supplement with facilities for outdoor and indoor games as well as cultural activities.  The main multistoried building is with all the state of the art infrastructural facilities like well equipped Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Computer Laboratory, Library etc…. The institution emphasizes discipline oriented, high academic standards by keeping specific institutional objectives. The faculty comprises of highly competent, qualified and well experienced academicians and provides excellent coaching and motivation to the students.

Devaki Amma Memorial Trust, established in 1997 made its first foray into the field of education in 2001, with the establishment of its Teacher Education College offering the B Ed course, with the approval of the NCTE. The Pharmacy College started functioning from 2003 with the B Pharm course and the Teacher Training Institute, offering the TTC (D Ed) course, commenced its academic programme in the year 2005. With the starting of the M Ed course in 2006, the Teacher Education College got itself elevated to a Post Graduate Centre. In the year 2009, the Trust reached another milestone by starting the M Pharm programme. The latest feather in the cap of the Trust is the “Devaki Amma’s Guruvayurappan College of Architecture”, which is the first academic institution of its kind in Kerala, meant exclusively for imparting education in Architecture.
