Solapur University was established on 1st August 2004 and was inaugurated on 03-08-2004 by the Governor of Maharashtra. The four-year Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) affiliated to the Mumbai University was started in the year 1994. B.Pharm is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The MET IOP is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre was established in 2017 as a constituent college of YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University) in an intention to provide quality pharmacy education to the people of Karnataka and neighboring districts of Kerala State. The college of Pharmacy is housed in the YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University) campus.  It is an approved research centre for Ph. D. programmes.  In order to produce competent pharmacist workforce to meet the growing demands of the industry and community. It is planned to start the Diploma in Pharmacy program after the successful inspection conducted by the Government of Karnataka and Pharmacy Council of India from the upcoming academic session. In line with our vision, University is optimistic to expand the pharmacy curriculum by introducing M. Pharm and Pharm D. courses.
