The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (Punjab) has been established through the Central Universities Act 2009 which received the assent of the President of India on 20th March 2009. Its territorial jurisdiction extends to the whole State of Punjab. This newly set up Central University of Punjab (CUP) at Bathinda is poised to write new alphabet on the academic horizon of India. This University is one of the important links in the recently set up chain of Central Universities created in the educationally backward areas of India. Going to be an upwardly mobile organization, it is destined to emerge as a quality provider of teaching and research, knowledge and skills, products and services, attitudes and ethics. It is gearing up to provide proper institutional leadership to the emerging demands of access, equity, relevance and quality in the mainstream University system. It has already flexed its muscles and initiated its first academic session.

Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant - 2 Posts (Centre for Environmental Science and Technology) – Project Duration 3 Years
* Bioherbicidal Potential of immobilized (encapsulated/entrapped) formulations of
essential oil from leaves of plant C. viminalis under Dr. Sunil Mittal
* Synthesis and evaluation of calixarene capped quantum dots for sensing of organic analytes under Dr. J.N. Babu

Research Fellow - 1 Post (Centre for Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science) - Project Duration 3 Years
* Design synthesis and biological screening of novel multi-target inhibitors of Tyrosine Kinase(s) and Topoisomerase-I under Dr. Raj Kumar

Research Assistant -1 Post (Centre for South and Central Asian Studies) - Project Duration 2 Years
* Socio Economic Externalities of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Power Plant in Bathinda for ICSSR Sponsored project under Dr. Sandeep Kaur

Qualification:
Centre for Environmental Science and Technology): M.Sc./M.Phil. in Environment Science/Chemistry/Natural Product/ Chemistry, Biochemistry/ Biotechnology /Botany with minimum 55 % marks and/or NET/Gate qualified.
Centre for Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science : M.Pharm./M.S. (Pharm.). in Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry with minimum 55 % marks and GPAT/GATE qualified.
Centre for South and Central Asian Studies: M.A. in Economics /or allied /relevant field with minimum 55% marks.

Emoluments;
JRF/Project Assistant/Research Fellow: Rs.16,000/- Per Month.(fixed) + HRA
Research Assistant: Rs.10,500/- Per Month.(fixed)

Tenure : For One year, which will be extendable for another one year based on annual satisfactory progress.
