Post: Manager – Pharma Strategy

Job Description:
Support Global Pharma Strategy team on high-priority Pharma projects mandated by PEC (e.g., Strat Plan 2013, Getting To Best, Euro Crisis, Specialty Excellence, etc.)

Major Accountabilities
Work closely with Pharma strategy Team on on-going & future strategic projects

Understand the information/knowledge needs of the stakeholders and proactively drive analysis to deliver guidance, recommendations and insights to business decisions

Independently display structured thinking & proactively provide recommendations & options to team on ongoing work streams

Deliver high quality deliverables for senior management with respect to industry, competition, disease, therapy, brand etc.

Leverage strong interpersonal skills to conduct interviews with internal/external experts & present findings

Ensure proper quality control checks in processes/methodologies to enable delivery of high quality deliverables Succinctly and clearly distill and convey – orally and written – insights from analyses

Liaise with other teams to leverage cross-functional & cross-franchise information and localize information efficiently

Proactive in planning; anticipating change and acting in accordance; drive meticulous implementation of team goals and metrics

Implement excellent communication/presentation to build relationships both within the key stakeholders, the Business Insights Team, and with GBS

Candidate Profile:
Bachelors degree in medicine, pharmacy, sciences and Masters in Business Administration, health policy, health economic or other relevant qualification

Languages:
Fluency in English, superior written composition skills

Experience/Professional Requirement:
Sound understanding of Pharma industry and strategy
Ability to work (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment
Ability to communicate effectively and to have a persuasive and credible presentation style
Ability to work in a high pressure & fast paced environment
Strong project management skills
Excellent analytical skills and ability to extract insights
Resourceful and creative in finding solutions
Strong business acumen
Preferred: Strong solution-orientation
Highly reliable & timely- strong dedication to high quality work
Willingness to go the “extra mile” & work towards a deadline
6+ years of experience with 4+ years relevant experience acquired at pharmaceutical companies and /or strategic, marketing, or health care consultancy companies
High-performer with proven track record within Novartis for at least a year
