Applications are invited for the post of Registrar and Placement Officer in National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research(NIPER)

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Applications are invited for the post of Registrar and Placement Officer on contract basis. Contract will be initially for one year which can be renewed further on mutual consent and requirement.

Registrar (one)
Qualification:
The candidates applying for the posts should have the following educational qualifications and experience

Essential:
i) Ph.D. Degree or its equivalent from a Government approved Institute/ University preceded with first class at U.G. / P. G. level or its equivalent in any discipline of Pharmacy or Science from a Government approved Institute or its equivalent;
ii) Teaching and administrative experience at an institution of higher education or research for a minimum of 15 years, with a minimum of 8 years being spent in a responsible position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR Comparable experience inresearch establishment and / or other institutions of Higher Education, OR 15 years of Administrative Experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Desirable:
Familiarity with administrative practices, financial matters, human resource management, statutory functions and academic activities.
Retired persons can also apply.

Placement Officer (one)
Qualification:
M. Pharm with MBA or PGDIM / Postgraduate in Science with MBA or PGDIM with minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant area. Candidate should have good communication skills and academic record.

Job requirement:
The role involves designing brochures, maintaining placement website, interacting with companies, arranging campus selection, improve Industry-Institute interaction, providing counseling and guidance to the students by hiring professionals, organize their visits and take care of all logistics.

Salary :
As per the experience (Consolidated).
