I.I.T. Delhi is an autonomous statutory organisation functioning within the “Institutes of Technology Act” as amended by “The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963″. The seven Indian Institutes of Technology (others being at Bombay, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Guwahati Roorkee) are administered centrally by the IIT Council, an apex body established by the Government of India to co-ordinate activities of these Institutes. The Minister for Human Resource Development of the Government of India is the Chairman of the Council. Each Institute of Technology has a Board of Governors responsible for its overall administration and control. Mr. Rameshwar Pal Agrawal is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of this Institute.

Post: Senior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for contractual appointment under the research projects. Appointments shall be on yearly contractuaL basis on consolidated pay slabs.

Project Entitled: "MALDI-TDF/MS of Biological Systems"(MI00890) operating under Prof. S. Mishra (Duration upto 11/09/2012)

Qualifications: 1st class M.Sc or equivalent in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Genetics plus NET qualified with atleast O2 years research experience (post M.Sc) in Biochemical Techniques, preferably protein gels, chromatography etc.

The candidates who are interested to apply for the above post should send their applications with complete information regarding educational qualifications indicating percentage of marks/division, details of working experience and a recent passport size photograph along with an Application Fee (non·refundable) in the form of Bank Draft drawn preferably on State Bank of India in favor of Dean(IRD), IIT Delhi of Rs.50/- addressed to the Prof. S. IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates satisfying advertised qualification and reqUirement of the project post. Only short-listed candidates will accordingly be informed.

The last date for receipt of duly completed applications will be 15 days from the date of issue of this Advertisement. The Advertisement No. & post applied for must be mentioned on the left side of the application. Separate applications should be submitted for each post applied for. 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates.
