National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Hyderabad (Established in the year 2007) is a prestigious educational institution of national importance under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceutics, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER, Hyderabad conducts courses in MS (Pharmacy) for two years in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students are selected through a national entrance test. Research opportunities also exist for those who would like to pursue their Doctoral Degree. The Institute is mentored by CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad a leader in Chemical Technology well known all over the world.

NIPER is now inviting applications for faculty positions on contractual basis initially for a period of three years which are likely to continue based on the performance of the candidate. Candidates will be paid handsome consolidated emoluments.

PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY

Professor/Associate Professor
No. of Positions: One
Age Limit (Yrs): 55/50
Rate of Consolidated remuneration/ month: Rs.75000/- + TA Rs.65,000/- + TA
Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M Pharm) in Pharmacology and Toxicology with good academic record.
10 years post Ph.D experience in Teaching/ Industrial/ Research experience out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor at P.G level in Academic/ Research Institutes for Professor.
5 years post Ph.D experience in Teaching/ Industrial/ Research experience out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at P.G level in Academic/ Research Institutes for Associate professor.
Strong background in molecular and cellular approach in testing new chemical entities in different therapeutic areas. Development of new vitro and animal models exposure to regulatory toxicology/histopathology and experience in interpretation of data from laboratory animal studies and experience in electrophysiology & clam techniques is desirable.

MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY / PROCESS CHEMISTRY

Professor

Rate of Consolidated remuneration/ month: Rs.75000/- + TA
Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Pharm/ MS.Pharm./M.Sc) in Medicinal Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry
10 year post Ph.D Research/ Teaching/ Industrial R&D experience in the relevant area.
Strong background in teaching and carry out the research work in the field of design and synthesis of new organic molecules for various therapeutic areas that will interact with the novel molecular targets/ biological systems.

# Age is relaxable incase of exceptionally meritorious and retired professors from Universities/Govt P.G. Colleges (upto 65 years).

SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL

Scientific Officer

Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: M.Sc and Ph.D in the relevant field with 2 yrs experience in Research Institute/ University of repute to train and analyze the research work in the field of NMR Spectroscopy, expertise in the advanced-sophisticated NMR methods for structural elucidation and studying of peptides, peptidomemetics and natural products. Also ability to work with high field NMR spectrometers in understanding the interaction between biological targets and duplex DNA.

Technical Secretary

Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: 1st class graduate with good communication skills in English. Should possess commanding knowledge in MS Office. The position involves preparation of project proposals/ reports, assisting in formulating scientific and technical reports. Candidates possessing knowledge of shorthand with two years experience in rendering assistance in preparation of the above reports in scientific organizations will be given preference

Computer Lab Maintenance Assistant

Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: Any graduate/ Post Graduate, preferably with Computer Science with 60% and above with minimum 2 – 4 years of experience in relevant field.
Should be able to maintain and develop computer infrastructure, networking on windows and Linux and trouble shooting
Good knowledge in programming languages like JAVA, C++ and SQL is desirable.

Project Assistant

Regulatory Toxicology

Rate of Consolidated remuneration/ month: Rs.15000/- + TA
Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: I class MS Pharm/ M Pharm in Regulatory Toxicology/ Pharmacology and Toxicology or M.Sc in Pathology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry (Organic)
RT: Good academic record with strong background in in vivo experimentations, Toxicological study, Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry is desirable. They will be responsible for maintenance of animal house and lab facilities.

Process Chemistry
No. of Positions: One
Age Limit (Yrs): 30
Rate of Consolidated remuneration/ month: Rs.15000/- + TA
Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: I class MS Pharm/ M Pharm in Regulatory Toxicology/ Pharmacology and Toxicology or M.Sc in Pathology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry (Organic)
PC: Good academic record with relevant industrial experience of not less than 2 years
