CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is a premier R&D Institute under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi which is an autonomous body under Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India. The institute is engaged in the development of new drugs and diagnostics in various therapeutic areas like malaria, tuberculosis, filarial, leishmania, cancer, thrombosis, hypertension, dementia, diabetes, lipid disorders, gastric ulcer, osteoporosis, prostatic hyperplasia, etc. supported by very competent team of chemists and biologists. The institute is carrying out pioneering works on cellular and molecular studies to understand these disease processes, systematic evaluation of the medicinal properties of natural products and synthetic molecules, development of technology for drugs, intermediates and biological. Project Assistant 01 (One)

Title of the Project: Protective immunogenicity of Centrin KO live Leishmania parasite in the animal models and in the human cells. DBT(GAP0075)

Qualification: M.Sc. with minimum 55%marks in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry /Biotechnology

Experience & Job Requirement: 3-6 ,months lab experience with Leishmania research.

Salary: Rs. 12,000/-(fixed) p.m.

Age: 28yrs

Project Fellow 01 (One)

Title of the Project: Leads based drug development and genetic improvement of Ashwagandha. CSIR (TLP0011)

Qualification: M.Sc. with minimum 55% marks in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Zoology/Life Sciences

Experience & Job Requirement: Minimum one year experience in the area of Parasitology and animal handling.

Salary: Rs. 16,000/-(fixed) p.m.

Project Junior Research Fellow 01 (One)

Title of the Project: Nanoreservoirs carrying Brugia malayi recombinant proteins as potential vaccine against lymphatic filariasis. ICMR (GAP0096)

Qualification: M.Sc. with minimum 55% marks in Biochemistry/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences

Experience & Job Requirement: Experience in the area of Parasitology and animal handling.

Salary: Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA

Project Junior Research Fellow 01 (One)

Title of the Project: Identification and characterization of cross- reactive molecules of filarial and leishmanial parasites and their possible prophylactic potential against either infection. ICMR (GAP0097)

Qualification: M.Sc. with minimum 55% marks in Mircro biology/ Life Sciences/Biotechnology with working knowledge of computer

Experience & Job Requirement: One year experience in microbiological techniques, handling of experimental animals and parasitic infections.

Experience & Job Requirement: Documented expertise in laboratory animal experimentation (rodents), first-hand experience in animal surgery, running routine biochemical assays and cell culture- based assays

Project Research Associate 01 (One)

Title of the Project: Anabolic Skeletal Targets in Health and Illness. (ASTHI)” CSIR

Qualification: Ph.D. in Life Sciences or Biotechnology.

Experience & Job Requirement: 2. Documented expertise in mammalian cell culture, protein expression, proteomics and bioinformatics.

Salary: Rs. 22,000 (fixed) p.m.

Age: 32yrs

Timing:-
Eligible candidates are required to report for the Interview at 9:00 A.M on 30.11.2012. Candidates reporting after 10:00 A.M will not be entertained. The eligible candidates may appear before the Selection Committee for interview on the date and time mentioned above at CDRI New Campus, B.S. 10/1, Sector 10, Jankipuram Extension, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226021. Eligible candidates must bring with them a duly filled application (available on page no 2) with original & attested copies of mark sheets/certificates etc. along with a recent passport size photograph.

General Conditions
1.   Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GOI orders.
2.   Suitable Candidates may be empanelled for future requirement if any, under different projects.
3.   The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of interview.
4.   The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects. The candidates engaged in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/CDRI post(s).
5.   The number of positions against the various projects can be vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
6.   Selected Candidates will not be allowed automatically for CSIR-CDRI PhD program in the institute. However, if they qualify for CSIR- SRFship on completion of two years period as project Staff, they can register themselves in AcSIR. Such Project Staff will have to resign from the project before joining as SRF.

* No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

Note:-
Candidates who fulfils the requisite qualification and age will be allowed to appear before the Selection Committee for interview. Written test in the subject area will be held, if required, to shortlist candidates for the interview on the same day depending upon the number of candidates. The interview may be continued for the subsequent days also, therefore outsider candidates are requested to make their own arrangements accordingly.
